Gastroenterologist & Bowel Sonographer trained in Intestinal Ultrasound
Dr Danny Con is a specialist gastroenterologist and bowel sonographer certified by the International Bowel UltraSound (IBUS) group and Gastroenterology Network of Intestinal Ultrasound (GENIUS). He combines clinical practice as a Consultant within the Austin Health Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) service and clinical research as a Clinical Lecturer and PhD Candidate at The University of Melbourne.
Danny obtained his Doctor of Medicine (MD) from The University of Melbourne and subsequently completed physician training at Eastern Health and Austin Health. He developed further subspecialty expertise in bowel disorders and intestinal ultrasound through an IBD Fellowship at Austin Health. He maintains a strong interest in the assessment and evaluation of bowel disorders using intestinal sonography.
